How to Improve Your GMAT™ Exam Score

Get ready to boost your confidence and your GMAT exam score with a must-have feature from GMAC: Select Section Order.

Get Greater Control on GMAT Exam Day

Between checking in properly, acclimating to your testing room and materials, and completing on time, you have enough to worry about on GMAT exam day. Select Section Order gives you more control so you’re able to test at your best, especially if you feel confined by the default order of the four GMAT exam sections: Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Verbal Reasoning.

If your months of GMAT preparation revealed that the default is not the best section order for you, Select Section Order allows you to choose which way you’ll complete the four test sections. The section-order options let you decide whether you’ll begin with either the Verbal or Quantitative sections. Three options will be available at the test center:

1. Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative, Verbal (original order)

2. Verbal, Quantitative, Integrated Reasoning, Analytical Writing Assessment

3. Quantitative, Verbal, Integrated Reasoning, Analytical Writing Assessment

Committed to Your Best GMAT Experience

Select Section Order is one of many ways that GMAC is dedicated to improving your GMAT experience. This GMAT section order feature has been commonly requested and strongly favored throughout our research—and received high marks from test takers in a 2016 pilot study.

There is no “correct” or “recommended” section order to select. This choice simply gives you more control and flexibility to take the GMAT exam based on your strengths and testing preferences.
