The GMAT Explained with Zach at GMAC

Here are some highlights from the episode.

🔁On test delivery channels:

“The exam is delivered at both test centers and online. While there are differences in availability and scheduling, the GMAT exam is exactly the same no matter how you take it. Same content. Same scoring."

🎯 On scoring:

"A solid GMAT score not only demonstrates you’re ready and committed to pursuing an MBA or business master’s, but a competitive score can also boost your chances of admission and scholarship opportunities. That said, you do not need a perfect score to get into business school. If there’s one thing you remember from this episode, please let it be that."

🧮 On Quant:

"At the end of the day, these questions rely on logic and analytical skills — not just math skills. So don’t panic if you’re not a math person. I studied theater in undergrad, and even I made it through. The best thing you can do is become familiar with the question formats, manage your time wisely, and read every question carefully. And remember: every question matters.”

📚On Data Insights:

"The Data Insights section might sound intimidating, but it’s actually one of the most useful. These are the kinds of questions you’ll get in business school — especially if you’re doing Harvard Business Review cases. Whether you take the GMAT or not, I’d recommend practicing these types of questions. This is not a marketing pitch. I mean this."
