The GMAT Exam (Focus Edition) is the current edition of the GMAT exam. It launched in late 2023 and became the only edition of the exam available to take on February 1, 2024.
The GMAT Exam (10th Edition) is the previous edition of the GMAT exam. It launched in 2012 and was replaced by the GMAT Exam (Focus Edition) on February 1, 2024. To learn more, please visit GMAT History.
Technically, the GMAT Exam (Focus Edition) is the 11th edition of the exam. However, it was given a special name to emphasize its increased focus on relevant business skills.
Scores from the GMAT Exam (10th Edition) will continue to be valid for 5 years from your appointment date.
All GMAT exam attempts, across all editions of the exam, taken online or at a test center, will count towards your five (5) GMAT exam attempts during a rolling 12-month period. There are no lifetime limits.
