You can take the Executive Assessment year round at one of our more than 600 test centers around the world or online.

Executive Assessment online appointments are available around the clock on a rolling basis, and you can schedule an assessment appointment well in advance or as close as 24 hours before an available testing window. 

The online assessment is available in most locations, except for: Belarus, Mainland China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Sudan due to regulatory and local data privacy rules. Please note that currently proctoring support for the Executive Assessment Online is only offered in English.

The online assessment can be taken on both Windows and Mac personal computers and laptops. To be able to test online, you must meet the equipment and environment requirements.

The Executive Assessment at Test Centers

As a working professional, you need to be able to take the Executive Assessment with ease and within close proximity to either your home or your workplace. The Executive Assessment provides this flexibility by being available at over 600 test centers around the world. The Executive Assessment is offered year-round at Pearson VUE® test centers.

Before you register for the Executive Assessment at a test center, you can search for a convenient testing location that has available appointments by accessing our test center database that is hosted by our assessment service provider, Pearson VUE. From this page you only be able to view available appointment dates and times. In order to select an appointment time you will need to register first.

Executive Assessment FAQs

The Executive Assessment is used by schools as part of their admission process for graduate business programs to determine a candidate’s readiness.

Many graduate business programs accept the assessment as part of the application process. It will also help you identify what skills you most need to strengthen to be confident in your readiness for business school.

Schools use your results as a factor during the admissions process in determining your readiness for their program. Schools may also offer suggestions for closing gaps prior to beginning the program.
 

The Executive Assessment measures the skills and knowledge of experienced professionals. It is designed to provide candidates with increased flexibility, require minimal preparation and is significantly shorter in length at 90 minutes.

The assessment is delivered year-round both online and at more than 600 test centers around the world. 

The cost to take the assessment is US$350 globally.

Credit or debit cards are accepted (American Express, JCB, MasterCard, or Visa).

The Executive Assessment is 90 minutes long.

The Executive Assessment is comprised of three sections, Integrated Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning, which are further broken down into six modules. The modules are as follows:

  1. Integrated Reasoning: 1 - 6 questions
  2. Integrated Reasoning:  2 - 6 questions
  3. Verbal Reasoning: 1 - 7 questions
  4. Verbal Reasoning: 2 - 7 questions
  5. Quantitative Reasoning: 1 - 7 questions
  6. Quantitative Reasoning: 2 - 7 questions

At the end of each of the six modules you will be presented with a review screen that will provide an opportunity for you to review and change your responses or return to any questions you may have skipped within that module. Note that you can only review and change responses within a given module. Once you have moved onto the next module, the question responses on the previous module cannot be changed.

The Executive Assessment is a confidential and secure assessment, protected by civil and criminal laws of the United States and elsewhere. It is a policy violation to access or share Executive Assessment content before, during, and after the assessment.

To update your name, date of birth or country of citizenship, please contact GMAC Customer Care and select Executive Assessment Profile from the Type of Inquiry drop-down.
 
Please include your test taker ID, name, email address and the changes that you are requesting. If this information is not included, your request will not be processed. Once we review your request, we will respond to let you know what documentation you will be required to submit to make the update.
 
Supporting documentation may include:
  • Passport
  • Driver’s License
  • Certificate of Marriage
  • Certificate of Divorce

Changes to all other fields can be made directly in your Executive Assessment profile.

Note: requests to update your profile received less than 5 days before your exam cannot be guaranteed. If you are trying to update your name, date of birth or country of citizenship and your exam is in less than 5 days, please call +1 (703) 668-9605.

Executive Assessment Online FAQs

The Executive Assessment Online has the same structure as the Executive Assessment delivered in test centers. There are three sections: Integrated Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Quantitative Reason. The Executive Assessment taken online has the same type and number of questions and section time limits as the assessment administered in test centers. It also uses the same scoring algorithm and score scale.

The Executive Assessment Online is available online in most locations except for Belarus, Mainland China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, and South Sudan due to regulatory and local data privacy rules. There may be disruption to online testing due to COVID-19, severe weather, conflict, sanctions, etc., and you can find the latest information here.


Please note that proctoring and support for the online version of the Executive Assessment is only offered in English. Local language support is not available.

There are no breaks during the 90-minute online appointment for the Executive Assessment.

The Executive Assessment offered online has a similar reschedule policy to the Executive Assessment administered in-person at test centers.

If you need to reschedule, you may do so, online by accessing your My Appointments page. You may reschedule your appointment without fees up to your appointment time. To reschedule, visit the My Appointments page of your Executive Assessment dashboard or call Pearson VUE Customer Service. If you elect to reschedule by phone, you will be charged an additional service fee of US$10.

You can select programs to receive your results after your appointment is complete and scored for as long as the score is valid, results are valid for five (5) years.

Currently, you cannot transfer your test center appointment to an online Executive Assessment appointment. You will need to cancel your test center appointment and book a new appointment for the online option for the Executive Assessment. 

You can select programs when you create your account, or by going to the My Schools page in your dashboard. Selection of programs can be made before your appointment or after your assessment has been scored. 

You can register for an online Executive Assessment appointment up to 24 hours before an available testing window. Appointment dates are available on a rolling basis.

You can schedule your second online attempt before or after you complete your first online attempt. The second attempt must be scheduled to start at least 24 hours after your first appointment is completed. Candidates are permitted to take the Executive Assessment Online up to two times, independent of any attempts completed at a physical test center. 

Scores will be sent to the programs you select within seven business days of completing your assessment or whenever you add additional programs to an already and completed score assessment.

The Executive Assessment can be taken up to two times via online. These two attempts are independent of any attempts completed in-person at a Test Center, as well as any additional attempts required because of a verified technical issue.

The entire assessment session is recorded, including check-in.

The OnVUE system test process is a helpful tool to verify that the microphone is working, there is an internet connection, and the webcam can stream video. 


Please note, this quick system test does not verify that your computer and internet connection meet the requirements documented in the System Requirements found here. It is important to review the system requirements to help ensure successful exam delivery.

 

Specific details on the physical whiteboard are found in the Executive Assessment Online section. 

Yes, the online whiteboard feature will still be available – you have the option and the flexibility to use either the online whiteboard, or a physical whiteboard, or both, while taking your assessment.  

Human proctors, supported by state-of-the-art technology, ensure the security and integrity of the exam, and fairness to all test takers.


All test takers will be authenticated via their digital photograph, an approved valid form of identification, and live check-in via a human proctor before starting the assessment. The workspace is also thoroughly reviewed and monitored before and during the assessment. The assessment is being monitored at all times by human proctors, via the live video feed supported by AI technology.

You can test at home or in your office.


Wherever you test, you should be in a walled room, with a closed door, and without distractions. No one else is permitted in the room with you while you are testing. Please review the workspace and system requirements.

If you have a question or an issue during the assessment, please click on the chat link within the OnVUE application or wave your hand to speak to the proctor.

If you encounter a technical issue that prevents you from starting your exam, your appointment will be cancelled, and you will be able to register for and take the exam at another time.


If there is a technical issue after you have started the exam, you can bring it to the attention of the proctor by raising your hand or starting a chat session from the exam window. The proctor will attempt to assist you promptly. If your technical issue cannot be resolved, or you are unable to proceed with your exam, your session will be ended. In this situation, you may be allowed to register and take the exam again at no additional cost.


In either case above, you will be provided a case number within 72 hours via email. Your case will go under review, if approved we will contact you with details of your exam cancellation/refund and approval to register for another exam. Case reviews generally take 3 to 5 business days but may take longer on occasion and depending on the nature of the issue.

Please note that we reserve the right to verify and approve all requests for retakes resulting from a technical issue.


Scores will be available in your account within seven days of completing your appointment. Once scored, you can view your results at any time through the My Results page on your dashboard. 

You will not be able to preview your score at the end of your assessment. Scores will be available in your account within seven (7) business days of completing your appointment. Once scored, you can view your results at any time through the My Results page on your dashboard.

Your online proctored exam is delivered through Pearson VUE'’s platform, OnVUE, and access will be limited to the operational personnel involved in test administration and security. The platform adheres to local privacy and data laws in 190 global locations. Your exam session will be monitored by a Pearson VUE proctor, and your session will be recorded, both audio and video, for review by test security specialists. Also, your check-in details, including the photo collected of you and your test location, as well as your provided identification, may be stored according to relevant privacy and data laws.

 

Only the results from your online Executive Assessment appointment will be included in the score report that you receive as well as the programs you designated to receive your score.

Yes. While every accommodation we currently provide within our testing centers may not be feasible within an online assessment format, GMAC™ is committed to providing equal access to our assessments to the extent possible. Accommodations available include 50% and 100% extended testing time.
